USALBI’s Commitment to Walking Football: Promoting Active Aging and Inclusion

During the 2022/2023 school year, USALBI was strongly committed to the practice of Walking Football, participating in six tournaments held in different locations in the country: Tábua, Miranda do Douro, Guimarães, Aveiro, Loures and Jamor-Lisboa.

Recently, USALBI established a partnership with the Portuguese Football Federation, through the Castelo Branco Football Association, with the aim of boosting the development of the sport beyond the Senior Universities. This collaboration provided the players of the USALBI team with the opportunity to participate in the selection tournament, promoted by the Portuguese Football Federation.

It is important to point out that the main objectives of these activities are not limited to the sporting results obtained, which were extremely positive, but rather to the creation of a space for conviviality, sharing and mutual assistance, promoting mobility and ensuring quality active aging for those who practice this activity. modality.

USALBI’s mission in all its activities is to ensure that its students enjoy quality of life and do not feel alone, fostering bonds of friendship. Through Walking Football, USALBI reaffirms its commitment to providing an inclusive environment where seniors can socialize, interact and stay physically and mentally active.
