On Monday July 17, the children were able to take part in the Vendée Land of Sports tour offered by the Vendée Departmental Olympic Sports Committee.
This action is part of the labeling of the Terre de jeux 2024 municipality on the horizon of the Paris Olympic Games. The event took the form of a sports village with free access, offering original activities and initiations.
This action was intended to highlight the benefits of sport and encourage residents to put more of it into their daily lives,” explains Émilie Briaud, head of the entertainment, communication and tourism department.
The participants had the opportunity to discover and try out different sports: so-called classic activities such as football, basketball, handball, volleyball, badminton, but also lesser-known sports, such as Spikeball®, speedball and tchoukball.
Facilitators and educators were present on site to supervise the activities.
