The hype ahead of Victor Wembanyama’s debut appearance in the NBA Summer League was huge. Last night the big man, 224cm tall, played his first game for San Antonio in front of 17,500 spectators. The Spurs beat the Charlotte Hornets 76-68.
Victor Wembanyama put in a mixed performance throughout the game. The Frenchman was in the starting five and played a total of 27:27 minutes. The 19-year-old has 9 points, 8 rebounds, 5 blocks and 3 assists. In the course of the game, however, the first pick was only able to successfully complete 2 of his 13 throwing attempts from the field (15.4%).
