Jonas Vingegaard took advantage of the failure of Tadej Pogacar to consolidate his lead at the top of the general classification. The French follow each other at the gates of the Top 10.
Felix Gall tamed Courchevel, Jonas Vingegaard flew on these mountain roads. Starting alone 12km from the finish, the Austrian climber won alone ahead of Simon Yates. The yellow jersey arrived a few seconds later and increased his lead in the general classification.
Still just as impressive, the leader of this Tour de France 2023 took advantage of the failure of Tadej Pogacar. The Slovenian cracked 15km from the finish, finishing almost six minutes behind his rival. Present in number in the breakaway, the French have never played for the stage victory. Best tricolor of the day, David Gaudu finished fifth.
