Four years after the victory of the United States, the fourth in their history, in France, the Women’s World Cup opens for a ninth edition, this time in Australia and New Zealand. Among the favorites, we can mention the inevitable American world champions in title, Germany and England finalists of the last Euro, as well as Sweden or even the Netherlands, finalist four years ago.
Les Bleues are also part of the teams capable of winning. Now coached by Hervé Renard, the French had a mixed preparation, with a victory in Ireland (0-3) and a defeat in Australia (0-1). With the absence of Amandine Henry, injured in the calf, and the uncertainty around Selma Bacha, victim of a sprain during the last match, the task looks complicated. But not infeasible, as the Blues are full of qualities. First element of response this Sunday, July 23 with the first match against Jamaica, before moving on against Brazil and Panama. Here is the full schedule.
