19.7 million French people in front of the Tour de France women 2023 on France Télévisions

No audience record for the women’s Tour de France this summer. According to Médiamétrie, the 2023 edition, won by Dutchwoman Demi Vollering, attracted 19.7 million French people (one-minute viewing threshold) on France 2 and France 3, i.e. 35% of the population. This is slightly less than last year (19.8 million). In addition, a Frenchman watched “on average 49 minutes of the Tour” on the antennas of the public audiovisual group, indicates France Télé, by press release in its audience report.

From July 23 to 30, the Women’s Tour enabled France 2 to establish itself as the afternoon leader, with an average of 1.98 million viewers, or 24.7% in audience share. A score down slightly from last year, when the eight stages had attracted an average of 2.1 million viewers, or 26.1% audience share.
