Basketball fans will have the opportunity to experience the spellbinding energy of NBA pre-season games in an exceptional setting. The Abu Dhabi Department of Culture and Tourism (DCT Abu Dhabi) and the National Basketball Association (NBA) recently announced the new edition of the NBA Abu Dhabi Games which will pit the Dallas Mavericks against the Minnesotta Timberwolves in two pre-season matches on Thursday October 5 and Saturday October 7 at the Etihad Arena on Yas Island. Last year, the Atlanta Hawks and Milwaukee Bucks played the league’s first games in the Persian Gulf.
These pre-season games are not only a showcase of NBA player talent, but also a celebration of sport that transcends borders, bringing together fans from around the world in an immersive sporting experience in the heart of Abu Dhabi. This new edition will be broadcast live in the United Arab Emirates and across the Middle East and North Africa and will reach fans in more than 200 countries and territories on television, digital media and social networks.
