GP AUSTRIA, THE HIGHLIGHTS

And Phenomenal bathhouse also dominates the GP d’Austriafinding the 4th Grand Slam of his career and closing a crazy weekend after the success also in the Sprint on Saturday. Now the +62 in ranking on Martin allows Pecco to breathe in view of the second part of the season.

“I wanted to understand who could stand behind me”

We had two strategies: be first and push to create a gap or manage fuel and tyres. I started well and managed as much as possible, I wanted to understand who could be behind me. I wasn’t going to the maximum and despite this the rear tire was struggling. We did an incredible job, this was the result. I felt good, you had to be careful when braking because the pressure went up a lot. I’m managing to figure out how to do it, even when the situation is critical.”

“Perhaps the best Bagnaia of the season”

Everything is working fineand, we managed and saw Binder losing 4-5 tenths a lap. I haven’t stopped pushing in order not to lose concentration, but it turned out well. Up until this race I started a little worse than the KTM, here we started the same. Ducati never stops working, it’s essential. This track looks like Austin, this bike has more grip and puts the front in a crisis. But we’re going in the right direction, it’s the first time I’ve won with such a gap. Perhaps the best Pecco of this season”.
