It is undeniable that the Barcelona bomber Robert Lewandowski is having a slow start. Lewandowski criticized the tactics of his coach, Xavi Hernandez.

Defending champions Barcelona are unbeaten in their first three games in La Liga. After opening the season by being stuck at Getafe headquarters 0-0, Barca then picked up successive wins from Cadiz 2-0 and Villarreal 4-3.

However, Lewandowski has only scored one goal in his three appearances. When compared to last season, the two-time FIFA best player has scored four goals in the same phase.

Robert Lewandowski assessed that Barcelona did not field enough forwards at the start of the match. Lewandowski felt that he was not getting enough service and even had to create his own opportunities.

“We are Barca and we are expected not only to win, but also to play good attacking football,” the 35-year-old sticker complained to Polish media, quoted Sports world.

“Recently it hasn’t been where it should have been so we struggled to create more chances in the game… When we saw Ferran or Ansu come on, two up front, we created more chances.”

“Sometimes we don’t play with enough strikers, I don’t get help… so I look for the best solution for the team. I realize, sometimes, if I’m between two centre-backs, it’s easier for them. In many games , I didn’t have many chances to score.”

“In the last two games I didn’t create many chances, I didn’t receive many balls so sometimes I have to create my own chances,” added Lewandowski.
