Cholet Archery Duo Wins European Team Championship

This summer, Thierry Joussaume and Daniel Lelou, both licensed at Cholet Archery (TAC), have had a string of competitions. For the first, it ended in the most beautiful of ways, last week, when he became European team champion. In the company of Rochefortais Maxime Guérin, they climbed to the final of the competition, organized in Rotterdam, in the Netherlands, to win the gold medal. This European title comes just a few weeks after the World Para Championships, which were held from July 17 to 23 in Pilsen, Czech Republic, where the duo finished in 9th place.

Individually, the results are disappointing, raises the TAC. The two license holders finished 33rd and 57th respectively at the world championships, then 17th and 9th at the European championships. In the meantime, the two men were present at the French outdoor archery championship, which took place in Riom, Auvergne, on July 29 and 30. They were both entered in the compound category. Thierry took the bronze medal in senior 2, and Daniel finished 6th in senior 3. Also licensed in the Cholet club, Stéphane Airaud and Fabrice Corbez finished 58th and 55th in their category.
