María Fernanda, the 21-year-old girl who drowned this Monday on the Cerritos de Mazatlán beach, turned out to be a person very close to the singer Luis Ángel “El Flaco”, since she was the daughter of her ex-partner.
And although the former vocalist of Los Recoditos no longer had a loving relationship with the young woman’s mother, he always saw her as a daughter, since he met her when she was a baby.
A statement was released through social networks where the singer talks about the sad situation he is going through.
“Dear friends, family and colleagues from the press, with deep sadness I have to announce the departure of my beloved daughter María Fernanda, it is the greatest pain one can feel. I appreciate all the messages of support and love that I have received, I will be able to answer them later. I beg for understanding of the deep pain of this hard moment and I will appreciate her empathy to respect my privacy, ”she read in the statement.
The young María Fernanda died this Monday morning after being swept away by sea currents while bathing with another person in the Cerritos area, near the Estero del Yugo.
Her companion was rescued alive, but she no longer had vital signs when the lifeguards took her to the mainland.
