The Dominican Basketball Federation made public the list of the twelve players that will represent the country in search of a pass to the Olympic Games.
The coach of the Dominican Republic Basketball Team who will go to the FIBA World Cup 2023, Ernesto “Che” Garciahas finally defined the list of players who will represent the Caribbean country in the tournament.
The group of twelve players is led by the star of The Minnesota Timberwolves, Karl-Anthony Towns and for the player Lester Quinoneswho saw action with Golden State Warriors last season and recently signed a two-way deal to stay with the team for next season.
The final team is completed with the presence of the current captain of the Quisqueyan team, Victor Lizas well as Eloy Vargas, Gelvis Solano, Happy Andrew, Delgado Angel, Gerardo Suero, Jean Montero, Rigoberto “The Viking” Mendoza, L.J. Figueroa y antonio pena.
The 12 basketball players, together with the technical team of the Dominican National Teamthey will travel to Filipinas, where they will be playing their group starting next Friday, August 25, to have one last warm-up game before the start of the competition. The Dominican Basketball Team will play his first match in this edition of the FIBA World Cup against the hosts of one of the three venues, Filipinas, on Friday, August 25 (8:00 AM, Dominican time), as previously indicated.
