Fifth Consecutive Win for French Men’s Basketball Team as Lithuanians Suffer Third Defeat

Gershon Yabusele led the French team with 19 points, six rebounds and four steals, Frank Nilikina added 13 points, and Rudy Gobert scored 12 points and had eight steals.

Among the Lithuanians, Eimantas Benžus was the most productive with 21 points. Jons Valančuns had a double-double with 12 points and 14 rebounds, while Roks Jokubaitis added ten assists to seven points.

It was the fifth victory in a row for the French basketball players, while the Lithuanians experienced their third defeat in three games.

The French have to meet Latvia, Canada and Lebanon in the subgroup of the first stage of the World Cup.

The final tournament of the World Cup, in which the Latvian national team will play for the first time in history, will be held from August 25 to September 10 in Indonesia, Japan and the Philippines.
