Names like Adam Karabec, Matěj Jurásek, or Michal Ševčík are well known to Czech football fans. Not even when they have already proven their qualities in the first league or youth national teams. But the second highest competition also hides a lot of promising talents that are worth paying attention to.
Lukáš Fila (19 years/Jihlava)
Nineteen years, seven games, six goals. This is the business card of Jihlava offensive midfielder Lukáš Fila. During the last season, he scored only once. After an excellent preparation, he was able to follow up on his performances in the league and if he continues, he will soon look to the first league as well.
david kozel (21 years/Dukla Prague)
The son of a coach from Liberec, whom Liberec wanted a lot in the summer, just like Baník, for example. However, Dukla wants to advance, so they did not release their key player. The skilful midfielder will start his fourth season in the FNL in the A-team. However, if Dukla failed to advance even this year, his transfer would be inevitable.
Tomáš Schánelec (21 years/Sparta Prague B)
He proved that he is a gunner already last year, he even looked into the first league. This year, however, he is catching dizzying form and it looks like his last minor league season. In Sparta, the trio of Kuchta, Olatunji and Sejk are still ahead of him, but they are well aware of his talent at Letná and are certainly counting on him in the future.
Samuel Šigut (20 years/Opava)
He was injured at the beginning of the current season, came on in the second half against Olomouc and immediately scored a goal. One of the many Opava talents that in recent years has started to produce very promising players such as Hranoš, Večerka, Rataj, or currently Florian Višňa.
But Šigut is a pupil of Frýdek-Místek, he also went through Ostrava’s Baník. Most often he starts as a right midfielder.
Filip Firbacher (21 let/Varnsdorf)
The strong forward will want to finally show the potential that lies dormant in him. He has a lot of experience with the second league, even though he is the property of the first league Hradec. Despite excellent performances in youth competitions and in the national team, he is still waiting for a bigger chance in the “Votroks” team.
So far, it looks like he stepped into his new role on the right foot. He has already scored 4 goals in the opening rounds and is the best scorer of his team.
