Judo Calendar 2024: Olympic Training Camp, Grand Slams, and European Championships

There are still a number of highlights in the judo year 2023, above all the Grand Slams in Baku, Abu Dhabi and Tokyo and the European Championships in Montpellier (FRA/November 3rd – 5th), the IJF and EJU have the official tournament calendar for 2024. It starts with the Olympic Training Camp in Mittersill (AUT/8. – 16.1.), and ends with the Grand Slam tournament in Tokyo (JPN/30.11. – 01.12). The red-white-red highlights: The Upper Austria Grand Prix in Linz takes place from March 8th to 10th. in scene and counts towards the Olympic qualification. The Junior European Cup in Graz will take place on June 1st and 2nd (with a 3-day training camp afterwards).

From an international perspective, the Olympic judo tournament in Paris (FRA/July 27th – August 3rd) stands out. A total of 15 medal decisions (7 weight classes women: -48 kg, -52, -57, -63, -70, -78, +78, 7 weight classes men: -60, -66, -73, -81, -90, – 100, +100; mixed team competition) are on the program on eight days of competition, 372 judoka will be eligible to start (186 women/men each).
