The latest iteration of the NBA 2K franchise introduces changes to Seasons and XP, the brand new Salary Cap mode eh various ways in which you can earn MyTEAM points (MTP).

The great thing is that you can mix current players with legends of the past, from every NBA era. The cards will gradually improve season after season.

NBA 2K24 brings fundamental changes to the overall structure of MyTEAM and to your daily gaming experience.
In the first place, changes have been made to the main currency of the mode, MyTEAM Points (MTP). The MTP payout rates for all modes have been significantly improvedvirtually doubled for most My TEAM players, giving everyone more flexibility to play.
This year the goal is to give more value to the players MyTEAM and it was time to start with multiple MTPs coming from games played.

MTP points updates: MT Points rating has been greatly improved for all modes, providing more flexibility for matches in MyTEAM.
Salary cap: This new multiplayer mode featured in MyTEAM in NBA 2K24 features three two-week rounds for each Season. Each group has its own classification, a salary limit for formations and prizes
New Player Market: MyTEAM continues to be the best place to build a roster of NBA players from any era, build your lineup, and dominate your competition. In the game, player cards can be purchased directly from the new Player Market using your VC or earned TM points. The Players Market replaces the Auction House to create a level playing field for all My TEAM players and to grant access to almost all available player cards.
Key changes to the Package Market: Community feedback has also been implemented in the Package Market. The new versions of the Pack Market will not only improve the chances of obtaining rare player cards, but will also include more options.
XP system revision: As previously announced, cross-Season leveling is now shared between MyCAREER and MyTEAM, meaning the way players earn XP is changing. This year, simply playing MyTEAM earns XP. Win or lose, each completed game will advance players by gaining levels.
Crossplay: Crossplay is present in MyTEAM. For the first time ever, PlayStation® 5 and Xbox Series X|S players will be able to compete against each other or create teams in Triple Threat Online: Co-Op. In addition to playing with friends, this will mean shorter queues and matchmaking times in all MyTEAM multiplayer modes.
Trainer Cards: The Manager Cards in NBA 2K24 MyTEAM have been enhanced to get the most out of the performance with a Player Card on the court. Each Trainer Card can now have a unique boost in certain game situations.

Multiplayer mode changes
matches with Salary Cap will be played in a new format, never seen before in NBA 2K. Using a two-half game setup, you will compete in the first half over a regular 6-minute period, trying to build as big a lead as possible.
At halftime, the match progresses to a fixed score finish. Similar to how recent All-Star games wrap up, 24 points are added to the halftime lead score, and the first team to reach that score gets the win.
This format has resulted in some of the most competitive matches in playtesting this summer, where second-half runs and multiple defensive stops are the focus, rather than trying to run out the clock. Every game ends with an emotion.
With these shorter games, more time to earn Round Points, level up and get more rewards.
With the Salary Cap joining Unlimited in My TEAM, it is worth noting that two multiplayer modes from last year, Draft and Limited, have been retired and will not be returning this year.
The lineup-building strategies and mini-game rewards of these modes will be used in new and different ways in Salary Cap, Unlimited, and other modes.
In Season 1 and Season 2 the most important rewards in MyTEAM will reach the maximum level of Diamondand only a handful will be available in Season 1.
Community feedback has been incorporated with the goal of providing the best gaming experience possible while continuing to provide a wide variety of unique cards that represent past and present NBA players.
With 92-94 overall rated Diamond cards being the best cards in the first part of the year, gem classes that were not thought to be used in previous versions of NBA 2K will have their moment of glory in MyTEAM.
