The NFL season doesn’t start until the beginning of September, but the preseason is already in August. Each team plays at least three preparatory games and shows their new rookies. SPOX shows you which games are coming up and where you can watch them.
The NFL preseason is a great opportunity to see rookies from the most recent draft on the field for the first time. Likewise, head coaches could provide a little insight into what they plan to play in the new season.
In any case, it’s fans’ first chance to see NFL football since mid-February, when the Super Bowl between the Philadelphia Eagles and Kansas City Chiefs was the last chance to do so in several months.

NFL Preseason 2023: Week 1
The NFL Preseason really gets going this weekend. Basically, the game plan in the preseason is very variable and the teams involved set their kick-off times individually in consultation with the regional TV stations. Accordingly, there are some exotic start times that we will no longer see in the regular season.
What is particularly unusual is that games are also played on Fridays and Saturdays. There is also one or the other game in the European prime time.
The New England Patriots kicked off the first week of the preseason, with Bill Belichik’s team hosting the Houston Texans. Rookie quarterback CJ Stroud made his debut for the Texans on Friday. The NFL teams will play ten games on Saturday. The first games took place in the night from Friday to Saturday. In the evening there are more duels, for example the Buffalo Bills and the Indianapolis Colts meet.
The NFL teams will play four more preseason games tomorrow, Sunday. Among other things, the Kansas City Chiefs are in action against the New Orleans Saints.

NFL Preseason 2023: Week 2
Week 2 offers us a couple of big-name duels against potential top teams. At the start, the Eagles receive the Cleveland Browns. The Pittsburgh Steelers take on the Buffalo Bills and the San Francisco 49ers take on the Denver Broncos and Sean Payton.
In addition, the only Monday Night Game of the preseason awaits between the Washington Commanders and Baltimore Ravens – a local derby, if you will, because both are known to play in Maryland.

NFL Preseason 2023: Week 3
Finally, in the third week of the preseason, the last opportunity for coaches is offered, especially to test their strike candidates. The fact that this year the offseason squad (maximum 90 players) will not be gradually reduced, but there will be a single deadline to reduce the squad from 90 to 53 players, is particularly explosive. NFL Preseason 2023: Where will the games be televised and streamed?
Basically, all games of the NFL preseason will be shown in the live stream. However, this only applies to the NFL Game Pass, the NFL’s paid streaming service, which will be distributed exclusively worldwide by DAZN from 2023. Details on booking the service via DAZN will follow in the course of the summer.
In addition, however, fans of the NFL will also be able to watch selected preseason games in the standard package from DAZN and on the RTL TV channel Nitro. Any transmission dates have not yet been set.

NFL Preseason 2023: Hall of Fame Game
It is a good tradition that the NFL preseason is opened with the Hall of Fame Game in Canton/Ohio. It’s the first game of the new preseason, taking place on Thursday before the induction of the newly elected Hall of Famers in their honor.
This year, the New York Jets met the Cleveland Browns. Browns rookie quarterback Dorian Thompson-Robinson stood out to lead Cleveland to a 21-16 comeback win.
