Rashmane wins bronze and a “signpost” to the Olympic Games in Paris

On Sunday, in the second round of qualification in shooting at temporarily visible targets, Rashmane scored 100 points in the first series, and 97 points in the next two, reaching a result of 294 points.

It has already been reported that on Saturday, in the first round of the competition, three series of ten shots at the target with a black circle were executed, and Rashmane was sixth with 292 points, while Rūta Leila Springe with 286 points showed the 53rd result in the competition of 105 shooters.

In the sum of both rounds, the Latvian ranked fourth with 586 points, entering the number of eight finalists.

In the elimination competition of the best eight shooters, Rashmane overtook five athletes, taking third place with 25 points and earning Latvia a place in the Paris Games in this discipline.

German Dorena Fennekamp became the champion with 40 points, while Ukrainian Olena Kostevich earned the silver medal with 31 points.

The World Shooting Championship will be held in Baku, the capital of Azerbaijan, from August 14 to September 1.
