This Wednesday, August 30, two Reunionese are taking part in the tennis finals. At 10 a.m., Florent Bax will be in the men’s singles final, and at 12 p.m. Pauline Payet in the women’s singles.
Yesterday, the people of Reunion achieved a feat! Our island had not won a gold medal at the Island Games in tennis for almost 20 years. Florent Bax and Giovanni Roméo won the men’s doubles final 5-7, 6-3, 10-8, and came away with the gold medal. The girls, Pauline Payet and Emmanuelle Girard won the bronze medal.
