The German tennis pros Daniel Altmaier and Yannick Hanfmann were eliminated in the round of 16 at the ATP tournament in Kitzbühel.

Altmaier missed two match points and had to admit defeat to the Colombian Daniel Elahi Galan after a hard fight 6:3, 2:6, 6:7 (8:10). For the 24-year-old from Kempen it would have been the second quarter-final in a row after he had reached the top eight in Hamburg the previous week.

After that, Hanfmann also lost his match. The man from Karlsruhe lost to Frenchman Arthur Rinderkech 6:7 (3:7), 3:6. This means that no German players are represented at the clay court tournament in Austria.
