Transfers: Gonçalo Ramos (Benfica) officially commits to PSG

Gonçalo Ramos has officially signed up with Paris Saint-Germain, as the club announced on its social media on Monday. The Benfica player, who had his medical visit on Monday, arrives in France via a one-year paying loan of €20 million, with an almost compulsory purchase option next summer, for a total amount of €65 M€, with bonuses of up to 15 M€.

27 goals and 12 assists with Benfica in 2022-2023

The 22-year-old striker could settle at the forefront of PSG’s attack in the coming season. Author of 27 goals and 12 assists in 47 games last season with Benfica, Gonçalo Ramos also stood out during the Qatari World Cup at the end of 2022, where he scored a hat-trick against Switzerland, and relegated the icon national Cristiano Ronaldo on the bench.

With this 9th summer recruit, the PSG transfer window continues to densify. Kang-in Lee, Lucas Hernandez and Manuel Ugarte were bought while Cher Ndour, Arnau Tenas, Marco Asensio and Milan Skriniar arrived free. Xavi Simons has returned to the club via a buyout clause. Paris should not stop there. Ousmane Dembélé’s delayed transfer is set to close soon, while Kolo Muani is targeted by the 2023 French champions.
