“Already after the second period everything was clear in principle and it was just a pleasure. The whole week after we won was very cool,” said Blüger.
The hockey player revealed that he will not spend the whole day with the Stanley Cup, but only about 12 hours, because the cup arrived at the “Riga” airport around 11 a.m. today, but will leave shortly before midnight.
“I think it would be better if it were a full 24 hours, but it will still be a good time. The teammates I played with in America in college have also come. It will be cool to spend this day together,” said Blüger, adding that the first, who he gave the Stanley Cup to was his father Valentin Blüger.
“We agreed that I would go to the airport myself to pick up the cup so that I could spend a little more time with it,” the hockey player added.
Blüger did not hide that when the Stanley Cup was won, there was chaos in the team’s dressing room, but he does not remember any unusual incidents.
