The Mx League is reactivated this Friday amid the pain of another failure, this time in the Leagues Cup. Beyond not having met expectations in the binational tournament, the Mexican clubs resume activity in the local tournament on matchday four with injuries and a change of pace because some were off the field for up to four weeks.

Of the 18 clubs in the Mx League, six were eliminated in the group stage of the binational tournament, a stage that took place from July 21 to 31. Thus, Necaxa, Santos, San Luis, Puebla and Chivas spent almost three weeks without activity, while Tijuana will be four weeks without playing because it will not be able to play this day, since Monterrey, its rival, will seek third place in the tournament tomorrow. .
Precisely, the Rayados will be the club with the least rest time, as well as Querétaro, since they were the last to stay in the Leagues Cup.
A specialist like Daniel Ipata, former physical trainer for Pumas and Santos, considered that the teams eliminated prematurely could reach the Mx League without rhythm, while those that reached the final stages will have an overload of work or could be in a state of rage.
In addition to dealing with changes in sports cadence, the Mexican teams face another complication: injuries. Las Águilas and Monterrey were the most affected in this sense, since American players Henry Martín, the tournament’s top scorer, and Sebastián Cáceres were absent, while Rayados lost striker Germán Berterame and Rodrigo Aguirre.
Atlas was affected by the loss of striker Eduardo Aguirre; meanwhile, Cruz Azul will not have winger Alonso Escoboza.
