Youth Ju Jitsu World Championships to Take Place in Astana

From 19 to 25 August will take place in Astana (Kazakhstan) i Youth Ju Jitsu World Championships for the U16-18-21 categories organized by the Ju Jitsu International Federation and the Kazakh federation.

More than 1,400 athletes from about 45 nations and all continents are expected to compete on the tatami mats of the Martial Arts Palace for the title of Ju Jitsu world champion.

Lino Team, the only Ligurian company present, will be represented with 3 of its athletes in Team Italy.

Tuesday 22 August will be the turn of the female U21 class where they will fight in the Fighting System discipline Luana Lauri, -52 Kg and already silver medal at the 2022 European Championships and Federica Mazza + 70 Kg and bronze medal at the last European Championships in the category France.

On Wednesday 23 August Francesco Linimento will be on the Kazakh mats in the U21 – 56 Kg class, making his absolute debut in a world championship, in a category with numerous top-level athletes.

The athletes will be accompanied by coach Matteo Repetto, who will also act as Sport Director of the Italian delegation for the occasion: “The preparation in these summer months has been long and very accurate. We are going to this world championship aware of the very high level of our opponents, but with the determination to be able to play with all our medal chances. However, such a long and exciting away trip will remain in the memory of our boys who will bring home a unique sporting and life experience”
