But the places in the team are very competitive. We have a lot of good players, but that only makes us stronger.”
Adli’s hopes for a system change are not completely unreasonable. On Thursday in the Europa League against the Swedes from BK Häcken, who are playing in 4-3-3, the 4-2-3-1 might even be a better fit than the tried and tested 3-4-3. Then Xabi Alonso could nominate a fourth offensive force in Adli – and he could work on restoring the status from before the start of the season.
