Arsenal’s Martin Odegaard Signs New Contract, Extending Stay at Club

Martin Odegaard has signed a new contract with Arsenal, as announced by the English club, which has not specified the year until which the relationship will last. According to unofficial sources, this would be until 2028.

The Norwegian international is in his fourth season at the clubto whom he arrived on loan from Real Madrid in January 2021. He was named Team Player of the Season last year after a stellar campaign in which he accumulated 15 goals -all in the Premier League-.

Gifted with incredible game vision and game awareness, Odegaard’s performances in 2022/23 also earned him a place in the PFA Team of the Yearand nominations for the Premier League Player of the Season, Premier League Young Player of the Season and FWA Footballer of the Year awards. He was also named Premier League Player of the Month. November/December 2022.

“Signing a new contract was a really easy decision for me for many reasons. Mainly what we are doing now as a club is special and I want to be part of that. I’m very excited for what’s to come here. “I have found a place where I can really settle down and call my home,” says Odegaard.

“My story may be a little different, since I moved to different clubs since I was 16. At Arsenal, from the first day, I felt very good and this is definitely my home now. I just want to thank everyone who works,” she continues.
