In recent seasons Ben Simmons he made people talk about himself more for what he did off the court rather than for the performances he achieved on the NBA parquet. In the last two seasons the Australian has only played 42 games due to his off-field vicissitudes with the Philadelphia 76ers and the various back injuries that prevented him from taking the field with the Brooklyn Nets.
But second Marc J. Spears Of Andscapewho recently interviewed Ben Simmons, the 27-year-old would finally be free of his back problems and would be 100% ready to show up at the Nets’ training camp.

Spearsduring the interview, noted a significant change in Simmons’ attitude compared to recent years:

“The confidence and style that he had (during the interview) is certainly very different to what we’ve seen from him in the last couple of years. Simmons told me he has never been as healthy as he is right now.”

Spears continued by revealing an anecdote told to him by Ben Simmons himself:

“One thing he pointed out when we went to get a bite to eat in Miami was, ‘Hey, I drove here and my back didn’t hurt. A year ago, people had to accompany me. I couldn’t even sit still.’ And he continued by saying that he is done suffering and would like to be an All-Star again.”

I Brooklyn Nets without the Australian’s contribution they still managed to reach the Playoffs last year, only to be eliminated in 4 games in the first round by the Philadelphia 76ers.

We’ll see if with Ben Simmons intact on the pitch the New Yorkers will be able to improve on what they did last season.
