The military airport of the 9th Stormo “Francesco Baracca” of Grazzanise, with the technical support of the Run LAB and with the patronage of the Municipality of Grazzanise, will host the Centenary run on Sunday 17 September 2023, an event that will celebrate the hundredth anniversary of the Military Air Force with a day dedicated to sport and which can once again seal the very strong link with our territory.
The race will take place through a unique route, on the runway of the Grazzanise airport (which will be the starting and finishing point), immersive, between the HH101 helicopter flight line and the center of the city of Grazzanise, and overwhelming enough to offer a exciting and unrepeatable experience and become part of the history of the 9th Stormo.
The event will include a competitive race combined with a men’s and women’s recreational running event divided into two routes: a competitive 10 km and a (non-competitive) Family walk from which it will be possible to access the City 101 set up with flight simulators, children, food trucks, flying model aircraft, hot air balloons and much more.
The “Centenary Race” will also once again be an opportunity to support the AIRC Foundation for Cancer Research and to ensure that each of us can make our own contribution for “a step forward”.
