Although Waseda came close, they were unable to turn the game around and once again missed out on victory. Iwaya, who had many chances to catch up in this match, said, “The problem was that we lost in the same way we always do, where we narrowed the gap and then immediately fell behind again.” From the next match onwards, they will continue to play against strong teams. G Yori Iwaya (Sport 2 = Kyoto/Rakunan)

–How do you look back on today’s match?

There were times when we were able to play our own basketball, but I think our problem was that we lost in the same way we always do, where we narrowed the lead and then immediately fell behind again.

–What was the biggest difference as a team?

It’s about how well we played the basketball we wanted to play. Chuo University played the basketball they wanted to play and created a flow, so I think that was the difference.

–You made a shot at a key point, but how do you look back on your play?

There were some good points that were decided, but there were many other scenes that I felt could have been decided. I want to improve my accuracy and give the team more momentum.

――From the next match onwards, you will continue to play against strong teams, so please show your enthusiasm.

This is an opponent that we would never be able to compete with in traditional basketball, so we want to improve our team strength through practices and league games to defeat them.

G Kazuyuki Takada (Commercial 2 = Kyoto/Rakunan)

–How do you look back on today’s match?

Although we lost yesterday, the team was showing momentum, and we wanted to put that into practice (today). There were times when the team was in a good flow, but we couldn’t get into the flow well, and in the end we lost because we couldn’t create our own pace. I think we won’t be able to win unless we get a little more cohesive as a team.

–What was the reason for not being able to catch up in the second half?

It’s been a while since I’ve been out, so my physical strength was tough (lol). Everyone was tired and we couldn’t do what we needed to do defensively. Our offense was barely able to connect and score, but our defense wasn’t stable and we couldn’t get through.

–It’s been a while since you participated, but how do you feel about your own play?

I’m glad that I was able to hit the shot with all my might, but I think I should have made the decision based on my physical strength and the important parts in the second half. It’s been a long time since I’ve been out there and I was able to make a shot, so I’m relieved. I would like to do my best from here.

――From the next match onwards, you will continue to play against strong teams, so please show your enthusiasm.

It’s going to be a challenge match, so we have to come together as a team and show off our energy, otherwise it will be a difficult match. Everyone is mentally prepared for it to be a tough battle, so I hope we can be a little more cohesive as a team and form the core of the team in the remaining few games, which will lead us to the second round. .
