Emma Raducanu is currently no longer in the top 200 of the WTA rankings

The worm was in there, both mentally and physically: After the breakthrough at Wimbledon 2021 and the subsequent sensational success at the US Open, Emma Raducanu was the big new star in women’s tennis. But the Briton subsequently failed to confirm her unique success. On the contrary – Raducanu struggled with her mental stability and her injury-plagued body.

The sad climax so far was a triple operation in May. Both of the 20-year-old Brit’s wrists and right ankle had to be brought into shape. A longer compulsory break was therefore also unavoidable. The former number ten in the WTA ranking has now fallen out of the top 200 in the world rankings – she is currently in position 214. Certainly another setback for the lady from the United Kingdom.

The former British top player Tim Henman, as a TV expert, was recently extremely positive about a comeback, the youngest MBE (Member of the Order of the British Empire) of all time, because he is expecting it In any case, it means that Raducanu will easily return to the top 100 and subsequently also to the top 50.

Patience is important because you can’t force a comeback after multiple injuries anyway. Raducanu is currently working on her comeback in China, which is scheduled to take place in December of this year.
