Football: Algeria withdraws bid for the 2025 and 2027 Africa Cup of Nations – Football

The Algerian Football Federation announced today that it has withdrawn its bid to host the Africa Cup of Nations in 2025 and 2027. This was reported by Algerian state TV, quoting the new president of the Football Federation Walid Sadi, without providing the reasons for this decision .
Last Thursday, Sadi was elected president of the Algerian Football Federation, succeeding Djahid Zefizef, who resigned in mid-July.
A few days ago, Algerian media, including news site Echorouk Online, reported that the African Football Confederation would award the organization of the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations to Morocco, while the 2027 edition would go to Senegal.
Caf will reveal the two host countries for the 2025 and 2027 editions of the Nations Cup tomorrow during a ceremony to be held in the Egyptian capital, Cairo.
