Germany has reached the semi-finals of the Basketball World Cup in Asia. In Manila, Philippines, the DBB selection won the quarterfinals against Latvia with 81:79.

The best pitcher was Franz Wagner with 16 points. For the player from the NBA club Orlando Magic, it was the first appearance since his ankle injury in the opening game against Japan. It is the first World Cup semi-final for the German national basketball team since 2002.
On Friday, Herbert’s team will play against the United States for a place in the final.
