The “Day of Sports” once again attracted a very large audience in Vienna on Saturday. According to organizers, 250,000 visitors came to the area around the Ernst Happel Stadium for the 22nd edition, despite poor weather.
Many took the opportunity to sign autographs and selfies with and from the numerous stars present such as Anna Gasser, Eva Pinkelnig, Nicole Billa, Stefan Kraft and Felix Auböck. The sports associations’ participation stations were also well attended.
“It’s crazy, it’s really cool here, a great atmosphere and so many people who are obviously having a great time,” emphasized Olympic snowboard champion Gasser. Ski jumping ace Kraft was also enthusiastic: “This event is unique for us.”
