Hakim Ziyech Makes Impressive Debut for Galatasaray in Turkish Championship

Finished the London Blues? In an impasse at Chelsea, Hakim Ziyech decided this summer to set sail for Turkey. More precisely on the capital Istanbul and the legendary Galatasaray club. And for his first match in the Turkish championship, the Moroccan distinguished himself brilliantly.

This is the Ziyech we love! The one who once brought joy to Ajax Amsterdam and who lit up the 2022 World Cup with his talent. This Saturday against Samsunspor (4-2), the Atlas Lion, who entered at half-time, was decisive by making a “decisive pass” for Argentine striker Mauro Icardi. Finally, if we take a look at this 67th minute of play, it is indeed a shot into the top corner from Ziyech which brings the goal. Even if the former player Paris Saint Germain seems to actually touch (unintentionally?) the tip of the skull, it is unlikely that the trajectory will be deviated. It is therefore still complicated not to attribute full credit to the Moroccan who logically celebrated this goal as his own by dedicating it to the victims of the earthquake in Morocco. The fact remains that this splendid achievement is unfortunately not officially counted to his credit and he will have to be content with a decisive pass. But his debut in the Turkish championship is very promising to say the least…

The Champions League in 4 days!

Ziyech and his teammates will host Copenhagen this Wednesday, September 20, on the occasion of the first day of the group stages of the Champions League. Fans are eagerly waiting to see how they will perform in this prestigious competition. A good start would put the Stambouliotes in a good position to face the two other teams in this group A, who are far from being novices since they are Bayern Munich and Manchester United. Beautiful posters in perspective at RAMS Park, and the opportunity for Ziyech to show that, even if he did not succeed in establishing himself in a club of this caliber LdC, there was ample room for him. Show them, Hakim!
