Hamburger SV wins the top game: 2-0 against Hansa Rostock

Hamburger SV remains the leader of the second Bundesliga after the fifth day of play. On Sunday, coach Tim Walter’s team won 2-0 (1-0) against Hansa Rostock for the third game in a row. Goals from Ludovit Reis (45th minute +6) and Laszlo Benes (48th) ensured the deserved victory.

Hamburg are now 13 points ahead of Holstein Kiel (12), 1. FC Magdeburg (11) and Fortuna Düsseldorf (10). Rostock dropped back to fifth with nine points.

Hamburg’s northern rival Hannover 96 seems to be stabilizing. After a difficult start to the season, the 3-1 (2-0) win at SpVgg Greuther Fürth was the second away win in a row.

Nicolo Tresoldi (16th), Derrick Köhn (22nd) and former international Marcel Halstenberg (61st) scored the goals for coach Stefan Leitl’s team, who annoyed his former club. Only Julian Green (49th) was successful for the Franks.
