Helmut Marko Fires Back at Toto Wolff’s Trivialization of Max Verstappen’s Record

Helmut Marko responded to the words of Toto Wolff, who somewhat trivialized Max Verstappen’s record.

Max Verstappen took a record tenth straight win at Monza. Toto Wolff downplayed it afterwards. He said it’s only for Wikipedia and no one reads it anyway. Then he didn’t forget to mention what Lewis Hamilton had said before – that Verstappen never had a strong teammate (unlike Hamilton).

“Wikipedia is one of the most read media,” said Helmut Marko for Servus TV. “Maybe someone could tell Wolff.”

“That’s the difference between us and them. We look to our own team to achieve the best possible performance. We just look at our jobs and don’t make up stories like them. But we don’t care about Mercedes until it is a serious competitor for us.”
