Bola.net – The Indonesian U-23 National Team won with a landslide score of 9-0 over Chinese Taipei in the 2024 U-23 Asian Cup Qualification. Meanwhile, Vietnam became the first country to successfully qualify for the 2024 U-23 Asian Cup finals.
Indonesia will host Group K in the 2024 U-23 Asian Cup Qualification, along with Chinese Taipei and Turkmenistan. The Group K match was played at the Manahan Stadium, Solo.
On the second matchday, which was Indonesia’s first match, Garuda Muda won 9-0 over Chinese Taipei. This result makes Indonesia at the top of Group K with three points.

Vietnam Key to Top of Group C Standings
The 2024 U-23 Asian Cup will be played in Qatar. As hosts, Qatar of course qualified automatically. Qatar is one of 16 countries that will play in the 2024 U-23 Asian Cup.
Apart from Qatar, all other countries have to fight through the qualifying rounds to qualify for the U-23 Asian Cup. In total, there are 47 teams competing for the remaining 15 slots to play in the U-23 Asian Cup.
Vietnam is the first country to qualify. As the host of Group C, Vietnam did not encounter any significant obstacles. The Golden Star won 6-0 over Guam on the first matchday. Then, on the second matchday, they won 1-0 over Yemen.
Vietnam is now at the top of Group K with six points. Vietnam’s position could not be caught by Yemen with one match remaining because they lost on goal difference. Guam and Singapore, who only got one point, also couldn’t catch up with Vietnam.

There are two scenarios that could lead the Indonesian national team to qualify for the 2024 U-23 Asian Cup finals. First, become champions of Group K. Second, qualify with best runner-up status.
The path to becoming Group K champion is very wide open. Because, referring to the regulations above, Garuda Muda only needs a draw to become group champion.
If there is a draw, Indonesia and Turkmenistan will have the same 4 points. Head to head is also the same because the score is a draw. Indonesia will win Group K with a superior goal difference. Indonesia won bigger over Chinese Taipei.
Ideally, Indonesia wins against Turkmenistan and wins Group K with six points.
