tvOnenews.com – AFF Vice President, Francisco Jeronimo finally opened his voice about the anger of Indonesian National Team supporters in the 2023 AFF U-23 Cup Final, Saturday (26/8).
In the match which ended 6-5 (penalties) for Vietnam’s victory, the Indonesian national team felt disadvantaged by several referee decisions.
One of them is the referee did not give a card penalty to Nguyen Hong Phuc who was seen hitting Haykal Alhafiz in the head.
Apart from that, there were several moments where the referee Hiroki Kasahara made the wrong decision which was detrimental to the Indonesian national team.
Jeronimo admitted that until now there has been no official complaint submitted by PSSI to AFF regarding this incident.
“Until today we haven’t. The head of the AFF told me, if PSSI claims (feeling disadvantaged) okay, we will see and evaluate,” Jeronimo told tvOnenews.com, Friday (1/9/2023).
