Alpine team interim boss Bruno Famins has confirmed that the team is in talks with Mick Schumacher to bring him into its endurance programme.
There had already been rumors that Schumacher, a former Formula One (F-1) Haas and current Mercedes reserve, could join the Alpine team in non-F1 racing. Meanwhile, Mercedes boss Toto Wolff has indicated that Schumacher will still remain the team’s reserve even if he competes in the endurance race as part of Alpine.
Before becoming a “Mercedes” reserve, Mick Schumacher started for “Haas”. In the 2021 season, the German did not win any points, but his best result in the season was the sixth place in the Austrian “Grand Prix” competition. Schumacher took 16th place overall with 12 points.
