MotoGP rider Aleix Espargaró (Aprilia) indicated this Thursday that he likes the Buddh International Circuit, the track that hosts the new Indian Grand Prix, but he is unable to say yet whether or not it can favor the Aprilia, since it combines a long straight with several fast corners.
“The route looks like it’s going to be a lot of fun, I love it. They’ve done their best to prepare the circuit for our arrival. But it’s very difficult to know if it’s going to benefit us or not,” he noted at the official press conference.
Espargaró, who won the Catalunya race, pointed out that “obviously” long straights are not the best for them. “But then there are many fast corners that we can take advantage of,” he said positively about this Buddh circuit.
In addition, he revealed that the team has technicians who come from F1 and that they do know the route. “Grip is very important for us, and they tell us that it is the circuit with the most grip in all of F1. The asphalt is not damaged and after a couple of laps we will have good grip,” he predicted.
“Last year the Asian races were a disaster for us. Eight races in ten weeks is crazy, I will try to be relaxed and have fun and if we can bring friends and families even better, because it will be tough mentally,” Aleix Espargaró commented on the Asian tour. who is fifth in the World Cup.
