On the 4th and final day of the U12 district league this year, our judoka won a 6:3 victory against the Budoka Höntrop team.
In the final relay race, our team took second place, just one point behind.
Unfortunately, this time we only had one girl and the Bochum team wasn’t full, so some encounters ended without a fight. Jakob Kamphues (-38kg), Joschua Skowron (-26kg) and Erik Tschanter (-42kg) scored points without a fight.
Phil Döpke (-30kg) impressed with great activity in his game and was able to put his competitor on the mat twice using a hip technique. In the -34kg class, Milan Kandora threw Ippon straight away with his first Uki-goshi approach. Adrian Garske (+42kg) also secured a full point. He countered his opponent with O-soto-gari. Lina El Amrani represented the Judoka Rauxel girls and fought -30kg very committedly. She scored a Wazari score for an outside fall and was able to enjoy a draw.
Afterwards, friendly matches were held under real competition conditions, so that all judoka from both teams were allowed on the mat that day.
Eight points from the nine fights went to our team. Jean Roß, Simon Dittmer, Justus Hanfland, Alexander Pelzing, Mael Poclet, Jakob Kamphues, Joschua Skowron and Erik Tschanter performed very confidently and caused a lot of applause with great throws. Unfortunately, only Ben Brinkmann lost in his game.
Since catch-up matches will take place next weekend, the final result of this year’s district league is not expected until next week.
