Transferred to Qatar, Marco Verratti came to greet the PSG public this Friday evening at the Parc des Princes. Journalist Daniel Riolo, present, paid tribute to the Italian community.
Marco Verratti was transferred to Qatar, to the club Al-Arabi SC, in recent days. The end of an 11-year adventure between the 2021 European champion with Italy and the club from the French capital. Celebrated by supporters, the Little Owl also received tributes from former glories of the club, such as Zlatan Ibrahimovic, Thiago Motta, Blaise Matuidi or Thiago Silva, or from current players, such as Kylian Mbappé.

Riolo applauds
For his part, Daniel Riolo was present at the Parc des Princes as part of the show L’After Footon RMC. Great opponent of Marco Verratti for several seasons, the journalist never misses an opportunity to criticize the 30-year-old midfielder, who is not serious enough off the field according to him, which would affect his performances and his recurring injuries. However, this Friday, Daniel Riolo applauded the Italian, as we can see on the account X – formerly Twitter – of L’After Foot.

Finally reconciliation between the two men? When his departure was announced at the beginning of September, Daniel Riolo admitted having “surkiffé” Marco Verratti, while confirming the grievances against the former Pescara player.
“A huge waste”
For his part, the former Parisian Daniel Bravo regrets, unlike Daniel Riolo, the secret departure of the former number 6: “Seeing Marco Verratti leave like this is a huge waste. He is still young, seeing him play in the Qatari championship is a shame. I don’t really understand the club’s decision. (…) The image of a party animal stuck to his skin, and I think it ended up bothering people, who said to themselves ‘it’s normal, he’s not serious’ every time he hurt. (…) The Parisian public has become too difficult. (…) When I see that we are delighted with the departure of (Marco) Verratti, of (Lionel) Messi or of Neymar, it saddens me. Seeing Marco Verratti leave the club is an important page turning.”
And in particular for Daniel Riolo, who loses one of his favorite targets.
