New Shooting Range in Valence Welcomes 300 Members, Including 2023 French Champion

Located at 60 James-Joule avenue (Aureates zone) and inaugurated on Saturday September 23, 2023 in the presence of numerous municipal and departmental elected officials, nearly 150 Valentinois Olympic Shooting licenseesrepresentatives of the Valentinois and Drômois sporting world but also members of the federal Olympic shooting authorities, this new sports equipment comes complete quality infrastructure and high level in the Drôme prefecture.

Latest generation equipment

While the old shooting range was in the basement of the Bayet school, whose rehabilitation work will begin in 2024, the municipality was committed to building a new shooting center. A new location was therefore designed to build a shooting range worthy of the name.

It is now a reality: 300 members of the Valentinois Olympic Shooting have a modern equipmentadapted to the practice of athletes, in particular the most efficient, including a 2023 French champion in the person of Jérémy Clozellicensed from Valentin (shooting with a semi-automatic 22 rifle).

The amount of work is 454 000 € TTC (30% of which is amortized over 20 years thanks to the rents from the Valentinois Olympic Shooting Center collected by the City).
