Two days before the start of the Basketball Bundesliga, the Niners Chemnitz became active again on the transfer market. The Saxons announced the signing of Elijah Ifejeh on Monday. The 26-year-old Canadian signed a one-season contract and is not scheduled to be a regular player. Chemnitz will play against champions Ulm at the start of the BBL season on Wednesday (8 p.m./Dyn).
“Elijah should above all help our second men’s team to stay in the league after their promotion to the first regional league, and also ensure more depth in the Bundesliga team. If Ifejeh develops well, the temporary license could be converted into a permanent playing permit for the BBL.
