Two world-renowned figures in para-athletics, Omara Durand and Robiel Yankiel Sol, will be the flag bearers of Cuba at the Parapan American Games in Santiago de Chile 2023, to be held from November 17 to 26.

Omara and Robiel are undoubtedly two para-athletes with sufficient merits to lead a delegation that must exceed 50 competitors in 10 sports.

The final registration of the Caribbean nation must include representatives in the badminton, weightlifting, taekwondo, judo, table tennis, shooting, athletics, cycling, archery and swimming tournaments.

Four years ago in Lima, Peru, the largest of the Antilles won 13 gold medals, 10 silver and 16 bronze medals to occupy seventh place by country.
