Patrick Mahomes, quarterback of the Kansas City Chiefs, has spoken about the new romance between his teammate Travis Kelce and Taylor Swift.
The quarterback was questioned at a news conference about whether he met the singer during celebrations following the Chiefs’ victory over the Chicago Bears on Sunday.
“Yes, I met her,” Mahomes told reporters. “She’s really great, good person,” she added. Additionally, the quarterback reiterated Kelce’s decision to keep things private. “But like Trav said, I’m going to let them have their privacy and move on,” Patrick said.
After Sunday’s game, Mahomes revealed that he had not yet met the singer, but that Kelce had informed him “at the last minute” that she would be present at Arrowhead Stadium.
Travis Kelce breaks silence on Taylor Swift
In a new episode of the weekly ‘New Heights’ podcast, which he shares with his brother Jason Kelce, Travis spoke for the first time about his night with the singer. “I’m enjoying life and I sure enjoyed this weekend,” he said.
“Shout out to Taylor for coming to the game. That was pretty daring,” Travis said. “I thought it was amazing how everyone in the suite had nothing but good things to say about her: friends and family. “He looked incredible,” added the Chiefs player.

Travis also talked about what it was like watching Taylor with his mother, Donna Kelce: “Seeing the chest bumps in slow motion, seeing the high fives with mom, seeing how, you know, the Chiefs kingdom was excited that he she was there. That shit was absolutely hysterical and it was definitely a game I’ll remember, that’s for sure.”
In the end, the player remembered that they both left in their car heading to an afterparty to celebrate the victory. According to several reports, Kelce rented the entire place for the players and Taylor.
Romance rumors between the NFL player and Taylor Swift surfaced this month after a report from The Messenger noted that the two have been dating for a few weeks.
Although it was this month that the rumors arose, in July, the athlete shared that he had tried to approach Swift at the Eras Tour concert in Kansas City on July 7.
In keeping with the tradition created by the Swifties, Kelce showed up to the concert with friendship bracelets, including one with his phone number, which he hoped to give to the singer, but failed to do so.
