Salon’s Association Day: A Vibrant Celebration of Community and Activities

After a clearance sale which attracted crowds to the streets of Salon last weekend, this Saturday September 9 the city should “still teeming with people”estimated Mayor Nicolas Isnard.

Associations which will be able to offer demonstrations, because the stage installed in the Reynaud car park is intended to welcome willing volunteers. 14 ten-minute demonstrations are already planned, whether dance, concerts, etc.

Note, among the associations present, 54 are purely sporting and will be found around the Roustan stadium. On this occasion 26 sports licenses will be up for grabs in a free raffle.

And because sport holds an important place at Salon, the same day a Olympic Village will be installed on Place Morgan by the department. After Marseille, Martigues and Saint-Cannat, the traveling tour “Provence Land of sports” therefore stops at Salon from Thursday September 7 to Saturday September 9. Thursday and Friday, 1,600 students from 14 schools, three middle schools, a high school and a structure welcoming people with disabilities are expected, before an opening everyone on Saturday September 9 from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Visitors will have the opportunity to try handball, rugby, basketball, ping-pong for free, but also tennis, badminton, ping-pong, taekwondo, boxing, wrestling, judo, cycling , gymnastics, athletics, dance, as well as canoeing and rowing in e-sport version.

Also note the presence of high-level athletes from the department such as Mickael Carlier from Martigues sport cycling, present Thursday.
