The first national parabadminton tournament in the South in Mercogliano. The location is the large auditorium of the “Dorso” of the town on the slopes of Montevergine, made available by the school director Alessandra Tarantino. It was organized by Atletica Badminton Avellino.
The Asam company from Isernia participated in the tournament, with two athletes in wheelchairs, Pietro Di Santo category WH2 e Giuseppe Maurizio WH1 category, accompanied by the coach Carmine Jacovella.
The athletes also participated Corrado Di PadovaSU5 category and athletes Berardino Lo Chiatto e Marco Taurasicategory SH6 of the CFFS Atletica Badminton Avellino company, coached by the professor Costantino Maietta.
Final ranking
1st category WH1 Maurizio Giuseppe;
1st category WH2 Di Santo Pietro;
1st category SU5 Corrado from Padua;
1st place in SH6 category Marco Taurasi;
2nd place Lo Chiatto Berardino.
The awards were given by the school director. The professor’s collaboration is invaluable Michele Spiga which made dozens of students passionate about the game of badminton, a discipline that is practiced by all the students of IC Mercogliano. The matches were refereed by the referee from Salerno Claudia Costa.
