Speculation Surrounds Damian Lillard and Buddy Hield Trade Possibilities as new NBA Season Approaches

The market is getting agitated again as the new NBA season approaches. The folder Damian Lillard could be completed this weekend – or at least before the start of training camp in October – according to the latest rumors relayed by several insiders. At the same time, the Indiana Pacers reportedly placed Buddy Hield on the transfer market after the latter did not find an agreement to extend with his franchise. Shams Charania already cites three teams likely to be interested in the Bahamas trigger: the Dallas Mavericks, the Milwaukee Bucks and the Philadelphia Sixers.

It’s likely that many other teams will keep an eye on the 30-year-old guard, the most prolific three-pointer over the past five years. But the journalist specifies that these three franchises have shown interest in Hield in recent months. That makes sense. These are teams that could really use adding a sniper to their rotation.

We can imagine the Bucks trying to set up a trade by sending for example Grayson Allen et Bobby Portis or Pat Connaughton. Milwaukee would keep its starter at position two and improve the team’s spacing on offense, although the loss of Portis could leave a void in the racket. The Mavs can try to reforward Tim Hardaway Jr, perhaps by attaching second round drafts. A trade seems more difficult to imagine for the Philadelphia Sixers, unless they part with PJ Tucker and D’Anthony Melton. It is obviously possible that another organization could win. Buddy Hield shot over 16 points and 42% from three-point range last season.

Buddy Hield traded soon, it seems inevitable
