Nicola Pietrangeli received the Superga Lifetime Achievement Award (a brand he wore throughout his sporting career) during the party for his 90th birthday celebrated at the Canottieri Roma club. The award was presented by Marco Boglione, present at BasicNet (owner of the Superga, Kappa, Robe di Kappa, K-Way, Sebago brands). The two-time Roland Garros champion was given a model of shoes, the original 2750 by Superga, personalized with the logo of Pietrangeli’s 90th birthday and a silver plate.
“A beautiful evening, because like me and many people who have spent their lives in sport and not only know who Pietrangeli is. He is a person who has done so much for modern sport which was born with him. Nicola is a global character”, said President Boglione.
